Lynne K. Schoenling received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Cincinnati in 1986, before earning her Juris Doctorate from The University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1990, where she was named to the Dean’s List in 2 of 6 semesters, earned the Judge John W. Peck Trial Advocacy Award and the Moot Court Anderson Book Award. Ms. Schoenling is admitted to practice before all Federal and State courts in the State of Ohio as well as the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Schoenling is an active member with the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association. Ms. Schoenling has been practicing law for over 19 years. She holds a BV Martindale-Hubbell Peer-Review Rating. The primary emphasis of Ms. Schoenling’s practice falls within the areas of labor and employment law, employment litigation, contracts, unemployment compensation and general civil litigation. Ms. Schoenling has had extensive trial experience, having tried more than 40 jury trials in and around the State of Ohio. In addition, she has extensive appellate advocacy experience in both State and Federal Appeals Courts. Ms. Schoenling’s employment law practice extends to both litigation and non-litigation matters, representing both employers and employees under Title VII, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Sex Harassment, Civil Rights, Discrimination claims, Severance Agreements, Employment Contracts, the drafting, interpretation and litigation of Non-Competition Agreements and Employee Policy Manuals. In addition, she has presented numerous seminars on Discrimination, Sex Harassment, Employee Handbooks, Employment Contracts and related topics. In addition to her employment law practice, Ms. Schoenling also is a certified Guardian ad litem in the State of Ohio. In 2006, she began devoting a portion of her practice to Juvenile Law, representing Juveniles in the State of Ohio and serving as a court-appointed Guardian ad litem in the Delaware County Juvenile Court. Ms. Schoenling lives in southern Delaware County with her husband and their daughter.
